Keysight Partners to Launch New Women in Quantum Mentoring Program

We are excited to launch the next big project for Women in Quantum - our free, professionally run mentoring program.

Under the leadership of Elizabeth Ruetsch, General Manager Quantum Engineering Solutions (QES) at Keysight Technologies, we spent the last 6 weeks designing, planing and implementing a professional mentoring program to cover the needs of our members and the wider community of women in quantum. To that end, we are grateful to Keysight Technologies for sponsoring the use of a professional mentoring software platform - MentorcliQ.

We will have a wide and deep roster of mentors with backgrounds in quantum, business, career skills and others, who will work with mentees to:

  • Identify their area of mentoring needs

  • Agree on goals and timelines

  • Work one-on-one for a period of 3 to 6 months on the desired skills

  • Provide a professional report out and key success metrics

The mentoring program will cover various areas of competencies, from which mentees get to pick and will be matched with the ideal mentor:

  1. Technical skills (quantum physics, software, hardware, etc)

  2. Soft skills (career skills, leadership skills, communications, etc)

  3. Business skills (the quantum ecosystem, sales & marketing, startups & scaling)

Mentees commit to adhere to the program by pro-actively driving participation and completing all sessions as well as potential tasks assigned.

Our mentors commit to showing up for you - not just during the sessions but with their skills, experience, expertise, networks, feedback and encouragement.

Enrollment for this program is 3 times a year with our initial enrollment period running throughout April - if you would like to participate please enroll here before the program starts.

More love from a WIQ lead sponsor, this time Zurich Instruments, who just released their new SHFSG Signal Generator, an instrument designed to control superconducting and spin qubits.

“It addresses the improvements that truly matter for research teams in quantum computing, yet it is also an instrument versatile enough to cover the variety of approaches pursued in different quantum technology endeavors”; says Dr. Mark Kasperczyk.

Register for their free product launch demo on April 29th now.

See you at www.onequantum.org in our member community, in the mentoring program or at our next event - also, please keep submitting your resumes to brooke@onequantum.org if you’re looking for a job as we continue to work with our employer partners on providing them a highly qualified and diverse talent pipeline.

Have a great week and be in touch,

Denise
