Updates on Women in Quantum
Scholarships / Mentor Program / Denise speaking at Quantum World Congress
Hello everyone! Hope you are doing well, I just found a fabulous opportunity that I wanted to share with you.
The Optica Amplify scholarship program that supports Black scientists worldwide.
This annual scholarship will be awarded to 10 undergraduate and master's level students. The US$7,500 grant can be used to cover a wide range of expenses. Scholarship recipients also receive a complimentary Optica Student Membership as well as access to the Optica Foundation's mentorship platform.

The Women in Quantum Mentorship program supported by Keysight continues to have many “wins”. We just received this email from one of our mentors:
I wanted to share the success stories of my two mentees, one from Mexico and one from India, both whom had recently completed undergraduate programs. During the mentorship period, Fabiola presented her work at a quantum conference in Latin America and was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship. I'm now helping her make connections with prospective research advisors at a few US universities. My other mentee, Aditi, had been working for a software company owned by JP Morgan in India and was accepted and has since enrolled in a master's program in quantum information sciences at the Trinity College in Dublin. She intends to work as a quantum software engineer after she graduates.
We are still looking for mentors and mentees, this program is hugely successful! Please click the link below to learn more about the program and sign up.

I just received this great picture of one of our scholarship award winners, Aliza Siddiqui who spent the summer doing an internship at Oxford thanks to many generous donors:
Congratulations again to Aliza, and many thanks to Kaitlin Gilli for mentoring Aliza.
Lots of great events coming up! I will be speaking at the Quantum World Congress from Nov 29-Dec 1 in Washington DC. I hope to see you there!
Best,
